e.g. from filename

02-Amor_y_celo_c209530e.wma

it set the Artist to 02!

Yes ive noticed this too with MM3. I had to use auto-tag from filename and set it up to get the correct info in the tags
heres another example of how MM3 infers the properties:

.\Sick Of It All\Sick_Of_It_All-Blood_Sweat_and_no_Tears-1989-BKF\01-Sick_of_it_All-The_Blood_and_the_Sweat-BKF.mp3

Title: The Blood and the Sweat-BKF
Artist: 00
Album: sick of it all-blood sweat and no tears-1989-bkf

That's even odder. 00 appears nowhere in the filepath!

Yes, I think I see your point, artists like '02' should not be inferred at all.
MM should be more smart in the way to not consider numbers as an artist, because most often it means rather track number. Usually there are not artists called '02' or '05'.
i.e.
Only artists that are not a numbers should be inferred.

Added to our to-do list.

I disagree e.g. 01 50 Cent - P.I.M.P.

I think MM should take any initial digit sequence as a track number, but be prepared to accept a digirt sequence beyond that as part of an artist name.
