I upgraded this morning from version 2 to version 3 without thinking too much about it but now my gold license for version 2.x is not valid anymore.
That i can understand, so i went to the faq for the upgrade procedure and read this :
"Users who've purchased MediaMonkey 2.x in 2007 will receive a coupon allowing them to 'purchase' a MediaMonkey 3.x license at no cost soon after MediaMonkey 3.0 is released."
This is my case (bought my license in June), so do you have any idea when i will receive the coupon ? I really need to have gold version in order to use the virtual cd feature.
Thanks a lot.

Just did the same - upgraded without thinking.
Then found that my license is invalid. Then checked when I bought the Monkey - August 2006. Great.
I am now going to go back to 2.5 (hopefully it still works).
Why isn't my license valid? Im not going to pay for the Monkey again. Stuff that!!!
any chance of the Monkey team giving licenses out to existing Gold owners pre 2007????

@kzt: Well there are two licenses: Normal 2.x Gold license and Lifetime Gold. If you bought the second one you'll get all future updates for free. Since you bought the normal 2.x license you only get the 2.x-updates. It's the same like in ohter programs: If you buy Windows XP you get all updates and serviceupdates but for Vista you have to pay again.
I think that it's a great service that there even is a lifetime license acutally. And that all people who bought 2.x in 2007 get a coupon is just another plus.
And: All 2.x owners like you get a 25% discount.

I don't know but I think it's really fair...

I think it's rather fair too but i'd like to receive the coupon in order to "unlock" the gold version.
How long has version 3 been out ? I only heard about it today, but how much time will it take, "soon after" is rather vague...

Now when MM3 is out we are preparing updates to our web services. Some of you will agree that current Web page do not follow the overall look of MM3.
Re: Coupons: We're waiting to roll out the official upgrade program until some issues on our website are resolved. We hope that no one will be missed when this is done and things get rolled.

If you have a lifetime license the old code will work in MM3.
