I would like the Autoplaylist criteria that rely on time conditions to be able to set to last played/added/timestamped before or after a specific date instead of only x days ago.

For me, this would increase the possibilities of having perfect auto playlists a lot.

Am I the only one who is interested in this?

Also, I assume this shouldn't be too hard to create right?

x days ago works fine for what I do, but I think allowing a user-defined date in an autoplaylist is a good idea.

Well, one of the many playlists you would be able to create with this is for instance a best of from songs added in the last year. Currently this is impossible unless you change the number of days ago every day.

i would LOVE to have this also. seems like such a simple thing that's missing. itunes already has auto-playlist generation with specific begin and end dates built in. c'mon MM!

In fact: when I migrated from iTunes to MM several years ago this exact feature is the only useful thing from iTunes that MM didn't have, but I decided it was worth sacrificing. Would love to see it back though.

I believe this has already been implemented in MM4.0 See: 6022: Advanced queries: Several Date fields can't search by specific date. I looks to cover what you're asking, as "exact date" searches have been added to the fields in question. I'm assuming that it will cover all the flavors Date has (>/</>=/<=/=/etc.) given the talk of "joining the conditions" between the fields.

So, can anyone who has used MM4 confirm that this is implemented?

There has been some improvement in this department. Such as Last Played now has ">/</Between" which will except dates. No "Equal," but you could just use "between" and enter the same date twice.
