Shortkey to jump to the current playing song

Hello there,
I would like to have an button/shortkey to jump to the current playing song in the playlist. Its a little bit annoying to scroll the list and searching the bold entry. Should be very easy to implement I think.
I know there is the "now playing" node, but why not have the ability to find the current playing song quickly in the working playlist?
Thanks for help.
Greetings from Germany...
Wolfgang

This may be the only really usefull feature in Itunes that's lacking in MM.
So, please implement it.

I think this could even be extended to show the currently playing song in whatever list is open, if the song is in that list. That would be ideal, I think.

I also know the feature from Itunes and after switiching to MM I was surpised that it doesn't exist.
A good solution would be a keyboard hotkey to jumpt to the song and a button for some of the toolbars. It could be placed on the player window near the song title. Also a link on the coverart (when it is set to show the current playing song's artwork) would be great.
Thanks!

Great idea!

Yes, I really support this demand, too!
I have a list of 12,000 songs and am very nerved on this lack of MM everytime I use it!
When can we get the new feature?

Good Idea!

I want to see this implemented too, but there is a workaround.
You can right-click on the currently playing song (in the Now Playing frame) and "Find more from same ... album". That should get you what you want.
Or am I misunderstanding?

Simple: Tracks in NowPlayingList are numbered. Quick look at the player and you got it.

I'd also like to add my vote for this feature, but see why it might be difficult to implement.
How is MM supposed to know which Library node you want it to jump to ? Most times I want it to go to the Artist node, but sometimes I was previously in another node and would like it to return to that node. In my case, it would be even more difficult because I've added additional nodes to my Library tree. The MM developers would have no way of knowing what I named them, what they contained or how they were ordered.
That said, I still hope they can find a way to implement this useful feature.

You can always see the currently playing track by just going to the "Now Playing" node. I'd still like to see a button so you can jump to the currently playing track in whichever view you're in (and if the current view/node you're in doesn't have the track you're playing, then it should jump to the now playing node).

It's not exactly what you want, but you can try
Change view to song currently playing script.
