Many duplicate tracks

I copied all of my CD's (over 250) in FLAC format to my external hardrive and when I synced my iPod it created numerous duplicates, as well as several songs that show the title on my iPod, but when I push play it goes to the next song on the list. Lastly, I have scanned and rescanned my hard drives for all songs in various formats, yet the MM library shows about 1/3 of them as a gray font. What am I doing wrong in each of these situations?

Have you right clicked on your Pod in the library tree and clicked on "Rebuild Device Database"?

Greyed out songs are Dead Links and often occur when songs are moved outside of MediaMonkey. You can delete this tracks from your library by going to Files to Edit > Dead Links and delete all files listed in Dead Links.

There is no automagical method. However, Bex's Adavanced Duplicate Find & Fix is a great script for hunting out your dupes.
