PLAYER LAYOUT

Hello everyone.

I am new here, I know, I can hear it now, "NOOO, not another noob". I like the Monkey but I'm not too comfortable, dislike to be more honest, with the layout. I could really use some help here if someone has the patience. Remember, I'm a noob.
***NOOB ALERT, NOOB ALERT***
I am an old music match user from back when. I never really liked anything that went beyond the 7.5 version. I'm not a portable user like ipods, just looking for an mp3 player that will meet my needs. I loved the layout like this:
Image

I loved the library below a radio player and the play list to the right.
The ONLY reason I am leaving this is because I hate not having the cross fade option and cant find it as a plug in, hack or otherwise. I prefer The Monkey over the windows media player also if I can get the look I want.

I have seen where some of you have moved your panels around. If anyone can help me to get this program the way I would like it to look, if its even possible, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
NOOB IN WAITING

there are different docking areas in the skin on the theme skin with the list views.

you can move everything (except the main list view it stays put.)to where you want it. just make sure the title bar is showing on each window you want to move, then left click and drag that to which ever dock you want.
be careful though some times they get lost off screen if you do it wrong.

so just click the player where you don't click on any item that scrolls or the buttons and hold the mouse button down and drag it to the place on top.

docking is on all edges, main list view is always in the center dock and does not move.

in mediamonkey 3 the player is long, but it is stretchable so it can be put in smaller dock layouts.
some skins i have made have different sizes of main player where it looks like a square or the old short player.
these are in fact the long player with an invisible right side so you can just put the other windows there and the player will shrink and you wont ever see it shrink. until it goes too small.

the docking areas on top and bottom are full across the screen the left and right are only between the top and bottom docking areas. so enjoy your layout experiments . :)
