Why are some of my tracks showing their playcount with decimal values, is this new in 3.1?

probably a side effect of using that auto rate script

That can't be it because it hasn't been enabled since I've been on 3.1, but I do use Bex's Add/Remove Playstats script. But I don't think that is it because it will not let me change it to a whole number.

I checked my 3.0 db and they weren't there when I converted, or at least I cannot see if they were there before I converted.

I just looked at one of my audiobooks which I have only just started listening to today in MM and now it says 0.3 for the playcount. I will uninstall the Autorate script to see if that is indeed the culprit.

Ok:
Brainfart has cleared and I THINK I figured it out, it is the bookmark feature. At least four of the five affected files are files which I know I started in MM and since I have the bookmark feature enabled in MM, that is where the percentage is coming from. Now of course I will have to "listen" to the rest of the file in MM in order to get rid of the percentage but mystery solved.

I've seen that too. Here's the mantis explanation:

Well needless to say that explanation does not help me because it doesn't take into account the portion of the book you have finished outside of MM. Or how does it interact with syncing with a portable device? But that is neither here nor there, I know what it is now and what actions I need to take in order to correct it. This is no different than my player which will increase the playcount each time I stop the book and come back to continue it later. I have a nice script called Add/Remove Playstats(

) that will correct the count to what I need it to be. But in order to get rid of the decimal value in MM, you have to scroll all the way to the end of the track and let it finish playing, then use the script to adjust the playcount.

I haven't yet figured out how these decimals are stored or how they are displayed. They don't exists in the songs table though...
Devs?

What about the PlaybackPos field, this is the field that which has data for the files that had the decimal places, these are the only files which have anything other than a zero. That's about the only
intelligent thing I can add to the question.

Oh, forgot to add I have bookmarking enabled for audiobooks so I am not sure if that field will be populated with data if the bookmarking is not enabled. Off to bed now, no more thinking.

Yep. It is from bookmarking of AudioBooks or Podcasts. Can get some strange counts. e.g. I played a podcast episode and accidentaly replayed part of it.
Playcount = 1.1
The function is from 3.0. The display is new in 3.1.

Hello, I'm new to the forum and came across this topic because I'd had the same question as the starter of it.
I've got a little problem with this feature, because it has strange results on some of my music tracks. I started to play a couple of tracks yesterday and skipped them before they ended (got some new speakers from Santa Clause

). Now they are shown with decimal values and keep this value even after i completed hearing them.
For example: One track is listed as being heard 4.7 times. After I continue to play it through the counter increases to 5.0. But after the next start of Media Monkey the counter shows 5.7. And it keeps continuing from the position I stopped playing it at the time the decimal values first appeared. I tried several program options but am not able to resolve this. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
(I apology for my English but I'm not a native speaker and didn't have much practise lately)

Yes, the PlaybackPos does the decimal value.
