iPod Touch Cover Flow Issue [bug 5232]

I have an iPod Touch 1st Generation with 2.2 firmware, which I manage using the latest version of MediaMonkey (3.0.6.1190). I've found an issue with Album Art synchronisation that I have not been able to solve myself or using any of the posts I've read in this forum. Any help would be much appreciated!
Summary of issue:
When I synchronise an album with a single album artist but multiple track artists, not all album tracks are accessible via the iPod's Cover Flow.
For example, I have the 'Hit Parade' album by Paul Weller, so the album artist for all tracks is Paul Weller. However, some tracks have 'The Jam' or 'The Style Council' as the the track artist. When viewed in the regular album view on the iPod all songs are available, but when viewed via Cover Flow only the songs where the track artist and album artist differ are available. That is, those tracks where the album artist and track artist are the same are not shown.
If the album is copied via iTunes this does not happen, but I don't want to use iTunes as it's poor at managing my large music collection. The iPod is configured with the settings given in the iPod Touch config guide here http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.php/IPod_Touch. Any suggestions, or anyone else found the same?!
Thanks, Andy
