Ion v 0.6 (21-03-2009)

Greetings

Ok here is my new Skin ,in the beginning i want to mod the noir skin ,but in the end it looks somehow different.
after all the discusion about songbird and modern look , i try to creat something minimalistic and clear looking.

This skin is still in progress and in version 0.5 i change some small things in theme, and work on an new layout from Player, MiniPlayer, MicroPlayer, TrackInfo and MicroPlayerPopUpInfo(MM3.1).

In version 0.6 i work again on layout from players and popup infos,and for me it's the consistently step to a minimalistic and clear skin!
(Thanks to gege for suggestions and screenshots.)

It's designd to work with MM3.1 ,included an modificated MM3 iconset ,

Good Start. Keep it going. I think MM needs a distinctive look, in order to be recognisable among other players. I think there are very few MM users out there and it is a shame because it is one of the best applications ever made, looks might be a reason not to use it.... we really need some good classy modern skins.

yes,on many download sites you can find the Monkey but often it shows
the non skinned Monkey,and it's realy no eyecandy.

if you don't see something it don't means it's nothing there
and sometimes less are more!

yep mediamonkey is listed on majorgeeks.com and they keep up to date with the links to the beta versions.
last i checked though they had the mm 2.5 screen shot still there.
they might have changed that by now because i know at least one of the enlisted on majorgeeks keeps tabs here not sure who it is but they have to in order to be posting the beta links.

But I would hate to ask you to do something for them.

I am using Noir at the moment, and loving it.

Actuell i'am work on an colored version , based on the screenshots gege put in the
Skinning func wishlist .
i change a bit the player layout,and make the scrollbars smaller ,so that the borders dont cut them.

Looks like an interesting, icy tone. The contrast might be too soft? I like to be able to take in the information without straining or tilting my screen. In any case, I'm just offering a few words. I can't comment on the layout of the player right now, as I will have to sit and compare, and I am rushed for time today!

I prefer the grey myself, but I'm boring like that..

The player is very different to the norm, with the play controls being in the middle.. but it's something I'll easily get used to.

I'm diggin' the blue.

I like the lighter color of the header bars or whatever you call 'em.
