Virtual CD not synchornising play count

I've tagged a track as virtual cd and when i play the track MM does not sync the play count.
What could be the reason?

Where is original track location? (AudioCD, MP3 CD/DVD, External HDD, NAS, ...)

Original track location is external Hard disk which has my entire music collection. Usually i dont want to carry it all the time. I want to copy those song on my laptop (as virtual cd) and play.
Im using mediamonkey v 3.1.1256

Thx, I suspected something like this. Can you do a small test and see if playcounter increases when external HDD is connected and when is not connected?

When HDD is connected, MM does increase the play count. When it is not connected, it increases the play count but does not store it in the DB. as you can see from the screen shot, Now playing window shows increased play count number. However, in the DB as highlighted new play count has not been registered.

is this a defect? earlier i've used that feature on 2.54 and was working fine.

Yes it looks like an regression introduced somewhere in MM 3.x dev stages
I'm trying to track exact point when it happened (Exact build) and why so that we can fix it asap.
Does F5 refreshes Main View with correct Play Count and what you get when you edit properties of Affected track (What playcount is shown there)?

right after song ends, mm increases the play count. updated play count and lasted played date is visible at not playing screen as well as in the song properties. However if you refresh the screen; it will now show old play count and played date at both the screens.

Aha got it, thx. It really looks like a problem with VirtualCD tracks only.

Certainly, I've linked this topic in our bug tracking program so I'll post updates here.
