Change Dialog Colors of Skins?

I was using the MM Ultimate skin - the black version (Blue version made text unreadable - almost same color as background), and a problem I ran into was that part of the "Auto-Tag from Web" dialog, using the MusicIP script, becomes difficult or impossible to read. Specifically the portion of the track listing that is highlighted when MusicIP suggests a change turns a bright yellow and the text is a very similar color. So each highlighted portion of the track listing looks like a solid yellow block. If I select a track there it is more readable but not very much. The only way I could review the proposed changes was to make sure the column widths were too narrow, causing the tooltip to appear showing what the text is. I attached a screen cap of the dialog with the yelolow highlight below - hopefully.
So for now I had to switch back to a skin that doesn't do that to the Auto-Tag dialog highlights. But I really like the Ultimate skin and would like to use it.
Is there any way to alter the colors within the dialogs to make it a less opaque shade?
Thanks for any help!

the skinner has to make the changes.
mac has not been back here in over a year.
by blue verison are you talking about a version of his skin.
or the one i adusted for some one of his skin. i will try to fix
the one i adjusted but not his. he wanted his skin like that he told
me over a year ago, so i wont mod his and change it. but i did make
a mod of it and rename it so as not to mess with his. that one i can
try to adjust if you are talking about it.
so what is the name of the blue version.
the one i moded is called mm,rc ultimate, or is the blue one some other name like mm blue ultimate, i think that is what mac called his.
let me know

True, but unfortunately no skinner can change that yellow color in the auto-tag window. There's just no way to do it with the skinning engine.

RC, yes, it was MM Blue Ultimate. That one had several places where dark blue gradients had black text and especially with the 3D look of the gradient bars the text was very tough to see. The MM Ultimate (Black version) didn't have such a problem, at least not in any places where it was a problem here. Except that yellow highlight, of course!
Oh well, I guess that skin's out then.
Thanks.

Admittedly I am not familiar with the skinning engine, and I am not a "skinner" by any means. But of course it is possible to change that highlight. If not then why do other skins not have the same yellow highlight there? The skinner may have to change a completely different color to have an effect on that highlight, but if it were not fixable at all then all skins would have the same problem. And they do not.
thank you,
Jim

All skins do have that yellow highlight. Of course it isn't as noticeable (problematic) when the yellow highlight is behind black text, because then you can still read it. Go ahead, try it with any other skin.
Almost 10,000 posts and no one will take my word around here

You may be correct - probably are. I haven't had a chance to check yet but you are definitely right in that as long as the text is properly contrasted and plainly readable the yellow wouldn't even be noticeable. Unfortunately in the MM Ultimate skin - as in the image above - it's really difficult to see the text. I could highlight every one but doing that one at a time when I am trying to check most of my collection - ain't gonna do it!
Sadly this is all because a corrupt something or another - MM installation, runaway auto-organize, or whatever - right after one of the early updates for MM3, renamed a lot of my tracks, seemingly randomly. So I am missing several tracks from CDs I have burned (because of the renaming), and I have tons of duplicates that aren't really duplicates - they just look that way. If I play them about every third or fourth track is actually a different song than the title indicates. And the only way to fix it - other than a mass re-ripping of all my CDs, is to use the MusicIP script on the entire library.
Thanks!
Jim

Well, you could just use a different skin (or use skinless MM) for tagging, I guess.

Apparently MM doesn't take switching skins often too well. Yesterday I was doing just that to see which skins did/didn't have issues with the yellow highlight and MM crashed twice - never recovered from the skin change both times. IOW right after changing the skin - for maybe the fourth or fifth time - MM would revert to WinXP colors, freeze, and then close all by itself.

Hm, I never had that problem here. When I'm developing a skin, I have to choose an old skin to refresh the skin that I'm working on, I probably change skin 20+ times in a day.

Effectively, changing skin for tagging is not an elegant way of doing...
You can temporarily uncheck [ ] the top ALL checkbox (or any individual checkmark line) to see the results, the check it again before applying the function.

give me your email in an pm message here at the forum and I'll send you the modded skin i did, MM-RC ultimate.
it might take care of the blue color and show the text a little better. I'm not sure if i changed the color of text on the yellow highlighted area? but mac has not been here in over a year, he needs to update his skins for mm 3.1 and he has not done it. plus when i was modding his skin i found there are several errors in it. as in things missing.
which is why it needs updated for 3.1 so he can add those in to it. but until he does my mod skin of his is only other choice. to try if you want that skin. as said often here we respect other peoples work so do I, which is why i named it with just RC in the name so it won't mess up his work and he can fix his and then i can stop giving mine out as fair option to his.
i don't want to make him think or anyone else that i am trying to take his skin, i am not doing that, just trying to help.
