Option to specify/save a default path album art [#6224]

I store all my album art in one folder. I would like an option to specify a default path for album art so when I am on the Album Art tab of a track and click "Add" I don't have to navigate through the directory structure everytime.
EDIT Peke: I needed to cut down Topic so that I can fit bug number

THANK YOU, this has been my biggest pet peeve with 3.x.

I don't think this is a feature that will be added, keep in mind that this was an option in MediaMonkey 2.5 but it was removed for several reasons - see:
http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=1633
http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=4786
Now, the last used folder isn't remembered, but it automatically navigates to the folder where the track is stored in order to simplify navigation.
i.e.
If you select a track stored in location F:\Music\Air\10000 Hz Legend\
and click [Properties] and [Add] album art then it is automatically navigated to the F:\Music\Air\10000 Hz Legend\ folder.
This is the desired behave for most users.

In an ideal world it would be user configurable, or it should use the option which the user has setup in the Options Sheet. Otherwise why have the option?

The option is to define the filename, not the path.

But it could be programmed to accept the path as well. I can respect the reasons for the change but I do wish for it to be changed back. Hopefully Santa will consider it.

I actually love the change, it has made my life so much easier. I see no issue however to make this user configurable.

Yes, please make this configurable. This is quite annoying.

I've been monitoring the developer discussion about this issue:
http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=6224
I like Bex's suggestion:
What about a checkbox, under the existing one:
- "Remember last used Folder"
That would solve the issue and I don't think it would add any clutter to the UI.
Quote from Ludek:
I believe that '*Favorites->Recent Places' accomplish this functionality
I tried this on my computer and it required 2 extra mouse clicks (my recent Documents, AlbumArt) to get to the actual art.
I have a recommendation that would give us the functionality we desire and still not clutter the user interface:
Under Options >> Library >> Tags and Playlists >> Album Art
Rename "Image Location" to "Image Preferences"
Create a new line called "Image Location" and give a choice to "Save images in same folder as track" or "Save images in specified folder" with a browse button to navigate to the preferred folder.
Thanks for considering this request.

I Like ksteele's idea but would like to add an addendum of my own. The default namn could have the "tag" ability.
Problem: when renaming a load of files the album art may have overlapping names (e.g. folder.jpg) and will be overwritten
Solution: Images that are moved and have tag links can have a default name e.g. \\filelocation\<Date> - <Album> - <Imagetype>
where <Imagetype> would specify the "image type" setting.
This could also be an option for linked images when adding album art - "change/move filename to default path and name"
I don't think I'm alone in using a small image stored in the tag (for the mp3-player) and having larger linked images on disk, so I think this would be useful to many advanced users.
