Auto\MusicNonStop.vbs - Autocue song after end of Now Playin

Post by judas » Sat Jun 04, 2005 11:49 am

Hi...i was wondering if someone could help me crewate a scrpit that shouldnt be to hard to implement (i guess...is fairly simple compared to what ive seen) for someone who can code something better than a hello world program (yeap, thats me!!)...

what im looking for is for a script that automatically autocues a song from a seleceted location when the end of the Now Playing list is reached...so to have music on all the time.

the automatic track would be a random track from either a specific playlist and it should be easy to turn on/off (as with a tick on AUtocue on/off).

thank you, and i hope some could find this useful (is a feature i miss from a winamps plugin called wincue!)

The Problem is that there is no possibility (AFAIK) to let a script run and watch all the time for the now playing-list to add sth or so.

Edit:
Cool, I should read Help before.

1. Create an Auto-Playlist with random Tracks or whatever you want
2. Create a file MusicNonStop.vbs in MediaMonkey\Scripts Directory

Code: Select all

...
3. Add the follwing to MediaMonkey\Script\Script.ini

Code: Select all

...

Code: Select all

...
Now there is an Option in Player-Menu (Bottom)
Important: The Script is now in Scripts\Auto, so you will have to delete the one in Scripts and change the Scripts.ini

Just be careful because is not always good to be that fast (especially if your girlfriend says that almost everytime :P)

Wow....out of words...simply no comment.

ill drink a few beers on you tonight!!

EDIT: Ok...now i have a further question...is there a way to select how many songs from the selected playlist to enqueue? ie i have a playlist with 150 Bossa Nova songs but i dont want to listen to all the songs...is there a way to just enqueue 1 random song (or 2 or 3..??) from the selected playlist?

i was doing that by just displaying 1 track in the automatic playlist i generated before, but now as there is a way to actually select the playlist is not functional to just display 1 track in every playlist.

thanks again...and again and again
