When playing a CD upon starting a new track it skips for a second or two while the drive is read. I have tried on other programs such as itunes and this doesn't happen. It seems to happen with all CDs, I have tried disabling crossfade and using the wave output plugin.

Hi,
did you try to select the 'MediaMonkey direct sound' output plugin and select
[x] Remove silence at the beginning / end of track
?

It should help.

Although I cannot reproduce the problem I see one possible reason,
entered as http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=6323 into our bug tracking system.
