Better way of preserving tags and such

I want better and faster way to save tags and links... I can't count how many times my album art suddenly disappears. It's because when I clear the library, the tags position isn't stored in the file. Is it possible to store where the file is? I have all my album art in a common folder.
I also want better nametagging of the album art such as "<Artist> - <Album>" it would have been a great advantage.
Than you for a great program! I simply LOVE the "Auto-organize files" button... Much better than iTunes where you can't do anything in the program because the program thinks it does it much better than the people using it...
