This gives people trouble sometimes. I'm not saying to get rid of the field all together or anything, just give us an option so that it isn't always written in for us when adding tracks, moving tracks, etc.... Sometimes we need them blank for a reason. I also know that if you're doubling with iTunes, iTunes only reads the Album Artist field rather than the Artist, which give many tracks the "various artists" field for regular Artist.

this is true it sucs in media monkey.
when it reads a compilation and i want to play it he organizes it in 20 albums a hate it thats i am organizing all my cds,
like 10000 tracks so i dont like it to see all my albums 20 times
so i delete the artist but next time i load the database there the are
itunes is nothing ive used it.
considdering the artist album crap this is the best program to organize
so long. and keep up the good work.
