Automatic Album Art Selection

I find myself constantly switching the Album Art between "Selected" and "Now Playing". I would like to see this handled automatically.

Whenever nothing is currently playing, if I select some album or track the corresponding album art should ALWAYS be shown. If there is something playing in the player, then the art for the currently playing track would normally be displayed. If I happen to browse around and select another item while something is playing, the art for the selected item should be displayed for about 5 seconds, and then the display should go back to the "Now Playing" item automatically. This would be MUCH nicer than switching manually all the time.

I like this idea. I normally just leave it on selected, because I'm too lazy to switch it. But this would make a nice option

I agree. I recall RealJukebox doing something similar.

I am also one of those who permanently switches. This solution sounds good.

I think this would be a great idea as well I like to see the art of what is playing but it would be very nice for selected art to flash up as well.

Hi DiddeLeeDoo - Thanks for bringing this to people's attention again after all these months.

Here's an idea in case the developer's are hesitant to implement this change. It could be an additional option in the Album Art right-click menu. So the menu would have:

Album Art (Selected)
Album Art (Now Playing)
Album Art (Automatic)

That should keep everyone happy :D

I've agreed to this idea in another thread, but that was a while ago and I can't find it, so I'll add my support to this one as well! :)
