I can't reproduce on 1304 skinned on Vista.

If you drag it to a dockabble area though (ie sides of MM) won't it still dock?

Well, I'm pretty sure that's the point. If you uncheck "Dock to window", then it will no longer dock when dragged to a dockable area.

There is 2 ways to float the Now Playing, undock it and just drag & detach. The former won't allow docking it back (I guess to avoid accidental docking) and the latter still allows you to dock it in the main program. So this isn't a bug.
