1346: Large Thumbnails slow down MM [#7478]

Hello guys,
I played around with the video function of MM4 a bit. When adding videos to my database MM4 generates thumbnail files for each video - for better performance I guess. But not scaling the thumbnails to a usefull size wasts disk space and much worse, it slows down MM4. I have e.g. a folder with about 30 Full-HD movies. For each movie MM4 creates a thumbnail file with a resolution of 1900x1080 and a file size of about 2MB. If I open the folder in MM4 30 JPG-files of 2MB must be loaded, scaled and displayed. This takes a while even on my Q9440 with SSD! As I did not find any situation where MM4 displays the thumbnail in full size (1900x1080) it does not make sense to handle such huge thumbnail files. I think scaling the thumnail files upon creation to about 190x108 or something like that (maybe adjustable by the user), would help to increase speed a lot and save much memory.
Thanks
