1399: CDR Burn error

When burning an audio CD I get this error after it finishes the last track. All tracks on the CD play fine on the PC.

Tried to burn 3 CDs. One wouldn't play the last songs on the CD, one plays fine, and one was bad due to a crash of MM in the middle of burning. The first two gave this error.
Disc 1 burn failed: Hardware Error: TRACK FOLLOWING ERROR, Error code: 40900
Using the same CDR media that I've used to burn dozens of CD with 3.x. This is the first time I've burned a CD with 4.x

Windows 7 x64 SP1 Ultimate, 8GB RAM
DVD R Drive: LG GH22NS30

It looks like a problem with your drive or medium.

1. Try to lower the burn speed.
2. Try to change burn method (DAO vs. TAO), (Finalize vs. Allow futher writing)
3. Disabling [ ] On-the-fly burning might also help

Just an FYI, disabling on-the-fly burning solved this for me.

I had the same problem on 2 computers running Windows 7, I replaced the old burners which were pretty old, but the problem is still here, disabling burn on the fly took care of the problem, but now I get this terrible crackling noise which makes the CDs unuseable. Winamp has no problems burning the CDs, but it does not do text labels.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Mike.

I'm having the same problem. One disc, I thought it might have been because the last file was a .flac file. On the second disk, there were no flac files used. I don't think it's a hardware error. I can burn easily using other programs. I will try turning off on the fly.

How do you disable 'on the fly burning?'

In the Burn dialog (last page).
