In version 4.0.2.1462, when I view a folder under music/location in "Show Art with Details" mode, in the "Summary" column the artist shows as "Unknown" for all songs in that folder, even if they are different artists. When I go into the tag properties, the album artist is populated correctly. The workaround is to make a change to album artist and hit ok, then the "Summary" column displays the correct album artist.

Thanks, that's it. Not sure what solution would be best, but honestly from a user's standpoint, the way it functioned in mm3 was never an issue. Showing "unknown" is a big problem because I have to now manually tag every song with the album/artist. Not a big deal with a few songs, but becomes cumbersome when there are many tags to do this with.

I am using build 4.0.3 1465 and still seeing the same issue. I can send screenshots if that will help.

Is the Album Artist populated in 1465 for the files that show unknown? Are you sure that you're showing Album Artist in the Summary column (see Tools > Options > Playback Rules)?

Here are rules that I show.. again all I want is the the Album title to show by default when I sort by "Summary", not show "Unknown". Also, the tag properties show album/artist as blank unless I click in the field and then it populates with the artist.

Art = $if(<Album>,<Album Artist>,<Artist>)
