when i try to install a new skin/addon to MM [1463] it does not matte if i uncheck "install for the current user". it will install both (all users and for the current user).

also the previous installed addons disappear in the extension menu (tools -> extensions).

On Portable Install, so I can't try to reproduce the double install, but my installed addons still show in Extensions. Did they disappear after upgrade or after installing an addon?

i meant the non-portable version 1463. when i install a skin/addon with this beta version the previous installed addons just disappear in the extension menu. there are still installed and work but there isn't a chance to delete them through MM anymore.

Lowlander meant that HE was on a portable install so could not test

Yes, they do indeed appear twice in the Extensions list, but one is current user and the other is all users.
Either way, it will get messy with it like that.

Under Tools -> Extensions all the extensions appears twice (identical, not different versions).

If I delete one entry (ie 'German Translation') and open Tools -> Extensions again, BOTH entries are deleted.

Already reported here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... extensions, but not yet reproducible.

Can you please move it together?

I cannot reproduce, are there any steps to reproduce?
Is it specific to a kind of addon, e.g. languages only?
MediaMonkey shouldn't allow you to install same addon twice.

I use standard (non-portable) version.

I have to correct myself, just downloaded Chinese translation, unchecked
'[ ] Install for current user only' checkbox and the Chinese is twice in the list.

I have to correct myself again, the Chinese was twice there because there are two versions of Chinese translation (simplified and traditional).
So I still cannot reproduce the issue.

I think the listed twice problem is linked with the disappearing add ins.

It effected all add-ins including add-in that were installed and working ok - just not being listed.
If I re-installed the add in it got listed twice.
The same with new add ins.
It appeared for me on a 1462 to 1463 debug non-portable upgrade.
I cannot reproduce now because I am now on a 1464 portable install
Running MM on 32 bit Vista as administrator.

I still have this problem of extensions displayed twice in 4.0.3.1466.
One for "All users" and one for "Current user".
