Can MediaMonkey Alter Tags Automatically During Sync?

I have this desire for song's on my iPod to be tagged differently than the way they are in my library.

Let's say I'm viewing a song in MediaMonkey. In the library browser, it would look something like this:

Artist | Title | Album | Year
The Beatles | You Won't See Me | Rubber Soul | 1966

Well, when I'm playing the song on my iPod, all I see is this:
You Won't See Me
The Beatles
Rubber Soul

What I think would be cool is if MediaMonkey could alter the track's tags before it sends it to the device, so that the album tag actually becomes a concatenation of $year + $album_name; that way I could see the year when I'm viewing a song -- it would also force albums to sort chronologically, instead of alphabetically ...e.g.
You Won't See Me
The Beatles
1966 - Rubber Soul

Is it possible for MediaMonkey to do something like this? If not natively, is there an extension to do something like it? Obviously this is mostly an issue with how iPod displays data, but being able to do work around this by leveraging MediaMonkey would be very satisfying. Being that MediaMonkey can re-encode tracks during the sync process, it seems like tag manipulation would be (in theory) totally possible as well (song on iPod re-encoded to MP3 : natively existing in FLAC in library :: album tag containing year on iPod : album tag being only title in library).

P.S. I played around with Rockbox and didn't like it. I know that would probably fulfill much of what I want and handle this entirely on the iPod, but I'm ruling it out as an option.

Unfortunately this is not a possibility yet, though it is on the wish list.
