Got error alert, mma didnt know what an m3u was and refused to play it,. M3u was made on android with free app that makes m3u's out of directorys, you pick a directory and it makes list from all files in first folder and all its sub folders. Very simple lists, i made basic m3u list in note pad, it didn't know what that format was either.

Are you saying that MMA isn't picking up the m3u in its list of playlists? or that when you click an .m3u (e.g. in ES Explorer), MediaMonkey fails to process it?

btw, what' the app that you're referring to that generates the .m3u files for you?

App is called ( MY PLAYLIST MAKER VR 2.0.3 ) its freeware.

Mma finds his and old ones i had from other players i tried that they left behind when i uninstalled them, but it only seemed to play ones in his playlist section.

That app's were linked to by short cuts, so i guess its by way of going through file system mma wont play them. Mma came up as an option to play the m3u's when i clicked on the short cut but gave me that error.

So it turns out that atm, .m3u files aren't directly parsed by mma. Android takes care of that, and MMA presents the playlists directly within the application.

From my perspective, this isn't a really important feature.

Oh okay thanks for finding out why they didnt work.

Its important to have a way to start the playlists without having to open mma up and go through it to pick one, makes it easy for driving to change playlists and not go through hoops with your eyes off the road, but then i have my radio and my cd player that i will use them, and keep phone for walking in malls or in the park.

This post is old and was for mma beta 1.
Newest version mma 4 beta has playlists that work from the home screen page making this post voided.
