With 4.1 1919, I can't currently create a smart playlist for "synced to... Galaxy Tab"; altho the device is listed in the Options, it doesn't appear in the list of sync targets when editing the playlist.

Do you mean the Synchronization Status Property in AutoPlaylists doesn't show your device while the device is listed under Tools > Options > Portable/Audio Devices?

Have you tried restarting MM and/or connecting the device via USB?

Yes, that's what I mean.
I have restarted MMW more times than I can count, because it is not stable.
No, I have not connected via USB, and I do not intend to, because Samsung's USB support is crap. I've already wasted too much time trying to get that to work.
The device is in the list; the device should show as a criterion.

That may be the key (bug). Merely connecting it via USB (disable any auto-syncing on connection (and even scanning on connection can be disabled)) would confirm it, if it after that shows as option in AutoPlaylists.

I see your point, but I'm still not going to connect it. I'm not going to pollute my system with those drivers again.
I'm assuming your protestations mean that you do see your Galaxy device in that criterion list.
Why don't you create a wireless-sync-only device entry and verify it doesn't show up?

Ludek, you fixed this so that the device shows up in the list. However, using the criterion "Sync Status is, Sync'd To, Galaxy Tab" for a smartlist, no items appear.

Following up on this bug: My "Synch status, is synched to, Tab" autoplaylist is showing music that used to be synced on but was removed from the synclist, and then from the device by syncing. It looks like you're not clearing the synch-status when the track is removed.

It was fixed for USB sync in build 1625
For WiFi sync it is implemented on MMW side in build 1625, but remains to add on MMA and MM8 side as noted here:

Workaround for you is to plug the device via USB until this is fixed.

Bug is marked as fixed, but I'm still seeing when tracks are removed that the status remains "synched."
Initial sync was with 162/1656, removal sync was with 165/1658.

Wouldn't be surprised (but don't know) if this is due to initial sync being done prior to fix.

I did a fresh complete reinstall with MMW 1662 and MMA 168. I synched over a bunch of stuff, but had not removed any of it from the sync list before upgrading to 1664 and 171. Now I have removed an item from the list, and synched; the files were removed, but they persist in my "synched to Tab" smart playlist.

I removed an video from device in 168 and did a wifi sync and it was removed from a AutoPlaylist containing videos synced to device.
