I'm using MMA 1.0.1.0097 on my galaxy s3 (android 4.11) and there is no lock screen widget... don't see an option to turn it on either :S Is this a bug or am I missing something? Thanks!

I believe it's currently only available for 4.2+, though I believe they're looking into bringing it to versions lower. 4.2+ natively supports it for apps, while pre-4.2 versions apparently have to be "hacked".

Yes, only Android 4.2 has the lockscreen widget, any older version of Android requires a hack. A lockscreen widget for pre-Android 4.2 remains on the radar of the developers.

Umm?? Not true there guys atleast completely, check my signature you will see i have earlier version, and i have tne locked screen widget, i do have to press the power button to turn on the screen, but i see the widget there with the pad lock image needed to unlock screen, so it seems to depend on what phone sys you have

What is the hack? Or are you talking about one of the MM dekstop widgets? I see a lockscreen controller (usually) - no art, but I can pause/play and skip.

Thats the same i got mcow, controls are there but for me on the new widget the art covers the whole background as a slightly visable design. (Or it did).

Yep just checked and it is still showing the art, i didnt do any hack so there must be something that is different in the phone hardware.

I know its a moronic question i ask but somebody has to ask it so,,

You do know that mm does not put the widget on the home screen for you, that you are to put the widget on the home screen your self.

Are you using a rooted phone?

haha it's not that bad of a question. I think you misunderstood me though: the home screen widget works fine, other than there being no album art on the 4x1 version. It's the lock screen widget that doesn't show up. No my phone isn't rooted.

But i am getting the locksreen widget to show on mine as is mcow, only i get the art where mcow gets black and you dont get any of the lock screen widget,

So it has to be each has a different phone and the hardware is the cause, or you and mcow have same phone only mcow doesnt have latest mma update installed yet,

I'm sticking with the hardware as the cause, to many other things going wrong with samsung g phones.

Yep I agree, the galaxy is an awesome phone but it seems a lot of apps have difficulty interacting with it properly. Poweramp is pretty solid, the best of the bunch right now, but even it has its problems (especially the lock screen arrg). Almost makes me miss my iphone...

Lock screen or home screen widget. Home screen widget is available for all.

Lock screen is what this thread is about lowlander gee can't you keep it straight any more, your starting to worry me do you get enough sleep , enough time off from work? If so where you at about a half thousand mm members can pay your boss a visit to have a talk with our little friends,

But as said its showing on my phone and mcow's phone just not on absoluteg0's phone.
So it has to be hardware related, or it would not work on all s g3 phones.
