Latest MMA on a Samsung Galaxy S2.

Inside the MMA app I pulled a bonehead move and deleted the folders->library entries.

What I had been trying to do was see if I could get things so it would only scan my removable SD card, hoping this would speed up showing me my new podcasts for the day, which had been taking probably around an hour to be scanned into MMA from the SD card after sync.

Instead what happened is that despite appearing to sync correctly via USB from MMW, nothing shows up in MMA so far as I can tell. The files are in fact there, they show up in ES File Explorer.

Tried reinstalling MMA, deleting MediaMonkey folders on both SD cards, but no help there. Is there something else I need to delete to get a fresh install working properly? Or is there a way to re-select the folders to scan?

Workaround complete.

Here's what happened since:

-uninstalled MMA again.
-deleted 'Mediamonkey' folders from both internal and external SD storage again.
-deleted entries in MMW for Samsung Galaxy S2
-re-setup items to sync
-re-synced.

Nothing.
Spinning wheel at the top, no podcasts, no artists, or albums when I click on those.

What the heck, I think, let's click on 'tracks'. EVERYTHING is there. Strange, but encouraging... I play a track. It plays.

Click on Albums again - EVERYTHING is there now! Podcasts, Artists, all there. Bizarre!

Final test: back to 'Folders' - Library entries are back!

So, workaround complete I guess, but no idea why it behaves this way.

I'm curious what version of Android you're on, how many tracks were added to your device by the sync, and how much time lapsed between here:

I ask because I have found that in cases where I have cleared out my device and then synced a large number of tracks over for the first time, it can take several hours before my Android 2.3. device has all of the library info sorted out.

Android 4.0.4.

Sync was approximately 1600 songs and around 80-100 podcast episodes.

I'd estimate time between sync and checking the status of 'albums' and 'artists' was no more than 15 minutes. I might have spent another minute before I thought to try 'tracks' but it wasn't a long time between; it was essentially right away. Then back to artists/albums it was instantaneous. I couldn't believe it.
