Hi,

I sync my music files with another app (syncme) cause i want to sync all my others files (MM sync suppport only audio files..).

Then, i need MM sync to sync playlists from MMW to MMA.

I tried this but i had a "download track error", then playlist synchronising started.

It seems to works and i think i have all my music in MMA library, but i'm surprised that some track thumbmail aren't displayed, but i'm sure it is in tag.

Is it a good job to sync files with another app before or should i always use only MM to do all the sync job ?

MediaMonkey can't just sync Playlists. It will need to sync the files (can be audio and video) to the device too.

I forgot to talk you about my file location setting on MMW:

\Musique\<Répertoire:4>\<Nom du fichier>

As you can see, i use a setting that force MM to write files exactly with the same structure than on my PC, so i don't understand why MM sync can't just skip a file which is already at the good place..

And on MMA, i don't check "playlist" only, i check my music directory too..

Because MMW doesn't know if the file is the same. If MMW synced the files it tracks them in the database and thus can skip them on sync, but it can't do this for files synced through other methods to the device.

Ok, so if i want to sync all my others files (not only audio files), i have to first sync all my audio files and playlist with MM, then use another sync app to sync other files (with filter to exclude mp3).

Either way around should work. MediaMonkey can only do audio and video, everything else it will leave alone.

Also, keep in mind that MMA currently gets/updates its metadata during sync operations. e.g. changes to ratings/playcounts and other metadata that isn't read by Android's Media Scanner will fail to update in MMA if you don't use MMW to sync.

Thanks for your reply.

I tried everal time to sync my entire music collection with MM sync wifi (About 25GB) and i always have some errors (can't download track) or "MMA stopped"..etc..

I will update my MMW os from XP to Seven soon, so i will retry after, maybe it will works better..

And make sure you're using the latest version of MMA and MMW.
