[Solved] Cant Deselect specific library folder because sync

Reason for the problem: I got a new device profile, which had the mentioned folder as sync location.

This happened after I reinstalled MMA.

SDcard internal and external had the default ../Music selected as library folders, I only added my own folder without deselecting them. Then I set up sync for external SD card. After that, I could not deselect interal SD/Music. I deactivated sync for both, but still, either internal and external SDcard/Music folder I could not deselect (got message it's set up for sync).

To fix it, I had to clear data, set up library folders correctly before touching anything for sync.

Ok, I found the solution. After setting up sync, the internal and external ../Music is selected automatically again. And it syncs the music to ../Music/<Album Artist>/<Album>

As I was sure it used to sync to the folder structure I already have my sound on the sd card. From somewhere it had to know how, and the only logical solution was the "Portable Device Sync" settings. So the device has to be plugged in via USB at least once. Somehow I had to reconfigure my device this way again, as it added a new device with the default sdcard/Music settings, that led to the sync setup added that/these folders automatically.

I think the way it sets up the folder structure this way is great - if "Portable Device Sync" is already properly set up. It's not that easy to find that setting if behaves the way I described, or if someone never uses "Portable Device Sync" over USB. When I think about it, the best solution so far I got is that there is a setting in the sync settings on the Android device - which automatically updates the settings from/to MMW if "Portable Device Sync" over USB gets used.

A strange side behavior I also noted: sdcard1/Music folder does not show up on the computer when plugging in the USB connection. Could not find out why yet.

Which build of MMA/MMW and what version of Android. This is a bug that is supposed to be fixed. In other words the wifi and USB syncs should use the same Device Profile.

Not sure if you got the previous post before you posted. Wifi and USB does use the same device profile. Problem was that it created a new one.

Anyway, if needed: 4.1.0.1671 and 1.0.4.0185

Update: after updating the device profile, it still synced to sdcard1/Music until I rebooted the device.

2 other notes (tell me if I should open a new thread for these):
1. No rating is shown for tracks existing on the device. I noticed this behavior months ago. Last time, it got fixed after syncing. Happened now again, syncing now, will report back if fixed again when finished. [Update: sync fixed ratings again].
2. Syncing now does download 559 tracks (out of ~5400on the device), where maybe 70 tracks are out of sync (updated Genre or Album artist for 2 or 3 albums, and some new ratings). (last sync is about 10 days old, but with an other device (had a temporary replacement device)). It downloads quite a big bunch of files which for sure did not change at all for years. Can't see a pattern here (just to note: "auto-sync server content" configuration is set to songs with ratings 4-5 and matches 1830 songs). Maybe ~1300 got synced to /Music (until no space left), after that I reconfigured sync destination correctly, I deleted the /Music folder, maybe it had only to "sync" the remaining songs and matched the others even they're at a different location?

Thanks for the update. In case others come across this, I just want to re-iterate:

If you have multiple profiles in MMW for your device, you'll likely experience sync problems. To solve the problem, delete the profile that is no longer being used.

To prevent this problem in the first place, if you have a device that has been previously synced with MMW, then on the first sync of that device with MMW 4.1, do a USB Sync (and not a Wi-fi sync). A warning about this appears during first-time synchronization.
