No device node in Media Tree if lock screen present [#11587]

If I connect my Nexus 7 tablet to PC via USB while sleeping it is awakened, and is recognised by Windows (ie. is accessible within the Explorer within Computer), and it is recognised by Dropbox synch, but it is not recognised by MMW (ie. I get no "Nexus" node within the Media Tree.
The same thing happens if the tablet is awake when I plug via USB, but screen lock is active.
I have to awaken tablet, and provide the Android screen lock credentials *before* plugging in the USB, in order to get the device node.
Apparently this is not the case with sone other tablets according to wutzin in another thread.

I don't see how the Nexus products can be seen as having a buggy kernel given that they are produced for Google. I have had both the the original version of the Nexus 7, and the 2013 version with KitKat. Both have displayed this behaviour.wutzin wrote:I just tested USB sync with two different Android devices - it works fine even if the screen is locked when plugging in the device. If your device behaves differently, then you have a buggy Android kernel who can't properly handle USB connections. This has nothing to do with MM and doesn't belong anywhere in the MM documentation.
