upgrade

Hi ... I did a restore point on windows7 which among other things took me back to previous MM4.07. I then bought MM gold. I expected this would automatically upgrade me to 4.1 ....(obviously wrong) so I then tried to upgrade the free version to 4.1 but trying to run it i got "An error occurred while trying to replace the existing file:DeleteFilefailed;code5. Access is denied" Any advice would be appreciated to this nontechnical computer user...i.e. ignoramus
