Do not disconnect - Message after sync

Hi,
Just registered MM Gold and most things are coming together, however.... after I connect and synchronise an ipod then disconnect safely via the button which ejects the device from the services the ipod still continues to flash "Do not disconnect."
I've ignored the message and pulled the plug out and the iPod seems to recover back to the menu screen within a few seconds.
Anybody else have this experience or any advice on a more graceful way to overcome the alert message.
Thanks
Cx

I haven't tested this, but I found the following on the RCA support site and would be curious if anyone has tried this with an iPod:
1. Turn on your Lyra™ A/V Jukebox and connect it to your computer via the USB cable
2. Right Click the "My Computer" icon on the Windows XP desktop or click "Start" from the main menu, and right click on the "My Computer" listing
3. Select "Properties" from the menu
4. Click the "Hardware" tab, and then the "Device Manager" tab in the Device Manager field
5. Locate the "Disk Drives" field, and expand it by clicking on the "+" sign
6. Locate the "Thomson RD2780 Player USB Device" and right click it
7. Select "Properties" from the open window
8. From the Properties box, select the "Policies" tab
9. Select the "Optimize for Quick Removal" selection
10. Click "OK"
11. Close the Device Manager and the System Properties Windows

try setting the option in MM to disconnect automatically (Automatically unmount device after autosynchronize), or right click on the ipod in MM and disconnect once you're done with it. the "do not disconnect" message should go away then.
my ipod was already set for "Optimize for Quick Removal" (which i was interested to learn means that "this setting disables write caching on the disk and in windows, so you can disconnect this device without using the safe removal icon". something good to know). but if MM is still connected to the ipod it will still flash that warning sign.
