"Problem while copying file" error

Hi There,
I am new to Media Monkey. I am on Win, and I am using the free desktop version for now. I have an Android phone (Moto X) and I bought the Pro version for Android to be able to do wireless sync (and to support the developers).
My music library is on a NAS - a bunch of MP3 files. Essentially, I want to be able to load the MP3 files into Media Monkey, and selectively add some of these to my phone. I load the files from the NAS into Media Monkey with no apparent problems. They all show up, I can see them, I can play them on my PC. Then I setup the sync for the Android device - easy to do. Then I do the sync. I get an error for each file (doesn't matter whether I do the sync from the desktop version or the mobile app). I get
There was a problem synchronizing the following item(s)
Problem
Problem while copying file
uuid://<long path to the file>
[Repeated for each file]
The error message doesn't really tell me much about what the problem is, so I'm not sure where to go from here. I must be doing something wrong, but I am not sure what, and not sure where to look. Does anyone have a suggestion?
Much appreciated.
Lars
