Updating "Last Played" from portable device

Is there a way to update the "Last Played" field while syncing with a portable device? If it would just fill it with sync time - fine with me.

Basically, I use last played with Magic Nodes to chose stuff I've never listened before. It would be cool to track not just songs that I've played on my PC, but also those that I've listened on my portable player.

This works for iPod but not for other players we currently support.

Only through scripts, maybe there has been already written something like this.
