Hello!
If i do not want to loose all the settings in a "device profile", like the playlists or folders to which the tracks are synchronised: In which file are they saved? Whicj file do i have to backup?

It's all in the main MediaMonkey.mdb file (in My Music folder).

Thanks for your reply!
But would it be possible to save some specific tables, only those that refer to the "portable player profile"?
If i'd like to use 2 portable players with 2 separate profiles and copy 1 set of playlists and songs to one of the players and a different set of playlists/songs and target folders to another player.
Can i edit a profile, save a copy of it in the form of the tables that contain it(under a differnt name) for the player 1 and afterwards edit the original tables again and save them under a different name for the player 2 again?
And can i afterwards simply rename the needed set of tables for player 1 or 2 to their original name as they are now and get this way different profiles in MM?

You can check out Devices table and linked Synch... tables. I'm not sure you can achieven what you described though.

Ok, thanks, ill give it a try.
What i want to achieve is to work with 2 different "Device Profiles" for 2 different portable players with different sets of playlists, target locations and other options for synchronising.
When i plug in "device 1" i want to work with the profile for only this device, when i want to synchronise to "device 2" i want to change the profile(not having to change all the setting again)

This should already work in MM, which device plug-ins you use?

Do you mean there is a separate "Device Profile" for each portable player used?
I thought it is only possible to configure 1 Profile.
I'd like to configure 3 "Profiles":
1. Archos Gmini xs202 (d_WMDM.dll)
2. the drive of my laptop (d_USBmass1.dll)

It should work well for you then, each device has its separate configuration.

Yes, it seem to work OK, wow!
But still one last problem:
In "Delete tracks that are not on the list from the device" there you can set "EXCLUDE FOLDERS":
1. What's the syntax and separator to put in when i want to exclude several folders?
2. Are the sub-folders of each excluded folder excluded as well?

1. Use comma-separated folders, quoted ("..") if path contains spaces. You can even use masks (like *.avi).
2. Yes.
