Why so slow to sync ??

Hi,

Have purchased Gold, yes I was sold. Would be very happy if i could get it to work. Plugged in ipod 30GIG Vid and it is taking an age to sync. I just don't have time to sit for what would appear to be about 4 days if i have to keep clicking OK to DRM encrypted WMA files.
All my music is on Media Player and MM is converting to MP3(albeit v slowly).
Any ideas on what I should be doing or have done or what I can do to speed process up ??
Any ideas would be very welcome.
PS I have tralled thru the forum and net looking for answers, but alas no avail.
You kind chappies are full of info and civic duty!
