When starting play by the MMA widget or Notification bar android doesn't register MMA as the 'current media app'. Starting play by the app itself registers as 'current app'

log file SYWRHV6STH

1. Boot
2. Play using another media app(Samsung Music) and stop.
3. Start playing MMA using widget and stop. 'Current media app' still Samsung music
4. Start playing MMA using MMA app and stop. 'Current media app' now MMA.

btw, can you confirm that 'Always respond to remote buttons' is enabled? Also, does this occur consistently for you? I've observed it every now and then but can't get a set of steps that consistently replicates the problem.

'Always respond to remote buttons' is unchecked (disabled) and is consistent for me.

Can you see if enabling that option solves the problem?

Enabling it appears to to make no difference to the problem.
