does anyone happen to know an easy way to create a html version of my music directory, with expandable directories, basically just like explorer, but in html?

Try my "Advanced Report" script, or the "Web Monkey" if you wish to host your music on a website.

i did look at your and the other scripts, and theyre nice, but im not looking to host my music though, just want to get a list of whats there, and its too large to all be listed at once, so was thinking the expanding folders would be a good way to handle that problem

If you use my Advanced Report script with separate files checked, doesn't this do what you want?

Sorry im not getting my ideas across very clear here. if you look at
http://www.zzee.com/art-html-listing/sa ... ee_ec.html
thats what i would like to have. unfortunately, that program only does 10 files unless you pay, and im not sure how often it would be used so i cant really say if i want to pay or not. ive also found lots of programs to help you create the menus, but then i would have to manually enter all the dirctories and files, which would be very time consuming and kind of defeat the purpose, as i have around 10000 files in my media library, and by the time i get done with it, thered be new files :p

Yeah, I'd like that too! I just want to show my collection but not host it. Can Webmonkey be modified like that? Because the design looks great! :-)

No, WebMonkey requires a Microsoft webserver as it uses ASP and MS Access, but thanks for the compliments.

There is currently no script that can do what you require. And creating one would be a fair ammount of work as it would require JavaScript to create the expand option. The Advanced Report is the closest you can get to your requirements. As it's pure html you can run it on a local computer without requiring a webserver.

If I get a sizeable chunk of spare time (which certainly won't happen for a while!) I might look at including this functionality into my Advanced Report. For now you'll have to make do, or write your own! :)
