Hi all.
I am looking for some computer speakers.
Audioengine HD6 speakers seem to come up quite a bit when I am searching, but I am nowhere near decided yet.
What do you guys think are great sounding speakers to be played from a computer?

Hi Lowlander.
They look nice. I haven't heard of them before.
They look similar to the
Audioengine HD6.
I'll do some research on them and check the specs.
Thanks.

Canadian company, budget friendly while still delivering a good sound.

Stereophile magazine gave a good review to the Dragonfire Acoustics Mini Dragon DFA 2.1 desktop speakers. Unfortunately they cost $10,000, about $9,500 more than my computer... which came with speakers.

Thanks, Gerald.
That's the first time I have heard of Dragonfire speakers.

Hi,
Personally I prefer higher quality headphones than speakers. I use
Tascam US 2x2 USB Sound Card and
Audio-technica ATH-M70x headphones, but also have Two
Behringer TRUTH B2030A Connected to balanced TRS Line-out on Tascam. Which I love as it has
Headphone and line out knobs are separate so Behringer auto Standby works flawlessly.
In addition to above I think that Mid Range Studio Monitors would work without any issue.

I'm pretty criticaI about speakers, but I just upgraded to a pair of AudioEngine HD-3s and am very pleased. Really good desktop sound if you can swing $350.
Self-powered, compact, good looking (the speakers), and can be hooked up in various ways: cable, USB, and wireless via Blue Tooth. I can take 'em over by the fireplace... or out on the porch if I buy an extension cord.
