Sync Now / Main Screen sometimes fails

Sometimes, in MMA. if I click on Sync Now [from main screen], I get "Connection Failed". But, Options>Select Sync Server>MediaMonkey Library>Choose where to sync your music>SD Card> The only option not selected is "Auto-sync device content". Here, the Sync Now button works. What else do I need to do to enable the Sync Now button on the main screen?
