Why are multiple icons pinned to the taskbar in Windows 7?
Solution
If MediaMonkey has been pinned to the Windows 7 taskbar, and the skinning
mode is subsequently changed (e.g. skinned --> unskinned, or vice versa),
then running MediaMonkey will cause another icon to appear next to the pinned
icon.

This occurs because the unskinned and skinned versions of MediaMonkey
are actually separate executables.

The solution is to unpin the original icon, and repin the new one.
