 How to Improve Search Performance
Solution
By default, the MediaMonkey search bar searches for all commonly used text fields.
For very large collections, you can improve search performance ten-fold by limiting
searches to e.g. Title, Artist, Album Artist, Genre, and Album fields.

In MediaMonkey 3.1+, go to Tools > Options > Search and select only those fields
that you wish to search.

In MediaMonkey 3.0, you have to edit the [Options] section of the MediaMonkey.ini file by adding
the line indicated below:

[Options]
QuickDBSearch = 1
