Actually thanks to MediaMonkey using the driveID should be an advantage in this situation. You should be able to play music without problem.

The issue is all the other parts of the program. All features that use the drive letter (like Auto-Organize Files) won't work as the drive doesn't exist.

Other problems can occur when you have your library, virtualCD and previews stored on this drive.

The solution would require that you change the drive letter for all those features.

Where do you have your My Music folder stored? Did you modify the path of the database?

Alternatively go to: Control Panel-> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management

Select the L drive, and then Right Click -> Change Drive Letter and Paths, and set it back to P. If you can't it means you have added drives (like a media card reader) and you'll have to do some juggling to get your drive letters in the order you want.
