Same problem here, thought it was a bug in the new iTunes 10, but I tried on iTunes 9 and have the same problem.

No you're not copying the files when you export a playlist. I'm not sure about the song name though as it seems that it's an iTunes issue.

Adjust Song title when exporting Playlist from MM

Hi,

I'm exporting playlist files out of MM and then importing them into iTunes.

However, when they're in iTunes, the song name is in the format "Artist-Song Name."

Is there any type of setting I can change in MM so that when the playlist file is exporting, the original tag information is preserved?

Secondly, when I export a playlist, the playlist is only 7 KB. When I look at the individual song files from within the exported playlist in iTunes, the path refers to the location where the exported playlist resides, but I can't see the entire path because iTunes truncates it. This particular path ends in .mp4, which is the actual file's extension. But when I export a playlist, I'm not re-copying any files, am I? Or is iTunes still playing the original file on the harddrive?

Basically, I'm asking if I am eating up harddrive space by exporting my playlist files out of MM. If I have 100 playlists, with 50 or so songs each, I don't want to have copies of each of the song files on my computer because that's just a waste.

Chris
