Hi,
do you use plugin d_USMMass.dll to handle the drive letter? If yes, it could be the issue.
Try to temporarily remove the plugin from your Plugins folder to see if it helps.
Second question: Is the iPod seen by iTunes without issues?

MM thinks my ipod classic 160 gb is a disk drive

After replacing my ipod classic, I am having autosync problems. MM sees the device as a disk drive, not a media player. It autosynced once, but now it won't connect to the autosync profile I set up before. All I get is the "disc drive" node type in the tree browser.

I've done the basics -- restarted the pc, restored the ipod, reconnected everything -- but no joy. Still just have the disk drive.

I recall at one point there was a way to force the apple pc drivers to disregard the "hard drive" option and connect as a device. We used to be able to specify the MAC in the device config box but no more.

Using the latest versions of all the software. mm 1.7.1471, itunes 12.1.2.27, win 7

What is a good process for troubleshooting this?
