Can you make a script that analysis songs to find the BPM and/or Keys and adds them to a custom field

My plugin wishlist - two tools I use all the time in Foobar - ABX Comparator and File Integrity Verifier. It would be especially great if File Integrity Verifier were available in MediaMonkey along with the added ability to write results to tags.

My idea was for database/management purposes...never mind, I've found out that music collector pro is capable to do what I need and then some...

If that was true there would be no technological developments. If you only comply with the "standards" you will have the "standard" product. Why not create a new "standard"? Why not make "mediamonkey" a benchmark software for classical music lovers? This is more than a player, it's a library management software, right? Why should you force all the medium to fit into the library's narrow set of rules?

Anyway, maybe you might consider increasing custom tag fields from 5 to 15+...that would be very useful for us, too... :)

Cheers.

I think the real problem is to come up with a "standard" that can be used

There is a point in that as there is a hugely supported complaint since the invention of portable digital audio that the metadata standard is almost useless when it comes to classical music

Someone has to solve it some time...to reach to an almost "disabled" listeners crowd

But I guess it's very hard to find developers who are classical music aficionados, therefore able grasping the need to begin with... :(

There is no point in that as they are tied to Metadata Standards. Adding custom Tag data is on our to do list but due the big big speed issues (six core Cpu can act like Single core on 5000 tracks and we tried to include it internally within dev builds we use for feature testings) it is low priority.

I'd appreciate something to change/edit all the default field names in "basic", "details" and "classification" tabs in file properties section

Trixmoto already made a great GenreFinder addon.
