DiddeLeeDoo-

Is there any plans for an MM3 version of this script?

Any progress on the update of JustPlay for MM3?
About a month ago DiddeLeeDoo sent me an Alpha of an MM3 compatible verstion of JustPlaySomething, but it wasn't ready for prime time.

It worked fine for the most part, but it had trouble randomizing the song lists. Each new ten songs would contain a couple of songs from the previous ten songs. Sometimes the last song in one list of ten would be the same as the first song in the next ten, in which case it would play one song twice in succession.
Any news on MM3 compatibility?

I'd love to test this for you. One of my favorite scripts.

MM3

DiddeLeeDoo,

Thanks for a great script. I would love to see this script adapted for MM3.

Wondering if someone here can quickly add some more functionality to this. For instance, it would be cool for this script that gave you options for playing random music. Maybe one option to play randomly from the last 100 songs or os played, 100 songs from the database or other options as deemed cool. Is there already something out there like this that I am just overlooking? If not, would be easy to throw this together?

This is more or less just a request as I like this script, but it would be cool if it had some added volume to choose from things of what to randomize and such as listed.

Thanks much.

I would unreservedly recommend this script to anyone that enjoys an uncomplicated way to randomly, yet with some degree of control, listen to your collection.

For me, "JustPlaySomething" in association with "BrowseByArt" now playing is the pinnacle of my enjoyment of MM 2.5.5

I look forward to using this script ongoing when I do make the shift to MM3.0

@cadmanmeg

you can tweak the number of new songs played in relation to other random tracks from Tools\Scripts\Just Play Something Options

You'll see the music note in your Standard Toolbar.

The 'Create New Selection' trick is to double click this Music Note.

A Single Click (on) will not do anything until you're reached the last song in the Now Playing list. When that happens, 10 new good songs will be randomly selected.

Be aware that it might take 1-3 seconds for the selection to actually show. So if you just do the double click on the Music Note, and wait a little bit, 10 new songs should be provided in the Now Playing list.

BTW, a version for MM3 is available too, but not here yet. Can send to anyone interested. Haven't had much time to play with the Monkey..

Am trying to use this script and installed it as told and get the little music note, but when I press the button, nothing happens. I feel like this is a dumb questions and that there is something I am missing. Can you fill me in please? THanks much.

Save the water! LOL :D

I found it a bit stressful to work for 'real' this week ;) so I've taken the day off and I'll see if I can do those final bits of that AutoRateSongs v4 today. A 'cold one' later would be nice.
