I am unable to Wireless Sync or UPnP both my Samsung Galaxy S3 and my Samsung Note 10.1 tablet. Both are running MMA 1.2.0.0624. MediaMonkey for Windows is 4.1.14.1813 with the lifetime Gold license. I get the error message:
The media transfer process on SPH-L710 – Card appears to be frozen. If the issue doesn't resolve on its own within a few minutes, please disconnect the device and reboot it. It the problem recurs, please use Wi-Fi Sync instead.
I have disconnected both devices and rebooted several times with no effect. I have rebooted my PC and assured that explore.exe is not running. Still my Sync problems persist. Additionally, Wi-Fi Sync is not possible. Each device just spins trying to connect to MMW/UPnP.
When I select Options for my UPnP MediaMonkey Library, my desired devices are enabled but the MAC addresses and the IP addresses listed by MMW are not the same as displayed by each device. The MAC addresses are correct but the IP addresses are not. I have removed each device, closed MMW, and rebooted my PC with no effect. Once I launch MMW and go to UPnP Media Sharing Options the devices are listed and enabled but the IP addresses are incorrect.
Both my phone and tablet can wirelessly access my desktop thru the Android ES Explorer app. I have worked thru this forum's help topic Streaming your Library to Other Devices as well as Russell Samuels post Failure to Connect to the UPnP/DLNA Server.
In the past I have been able to connect to UPnP and Sync Wirelessly with both devices. I have troubleshot connection problems after an MMW Update by tinkering around enough – removing devices and reestablishing, and/or tinkering with Sync settings. But this time all to no avail. On the Media Sharing (MediaMonkey Server)/Server tab the log shows:
Date – 11/6/2016 (11:28:34 AM), Status – Accepted, the correct MAC address but the incorrect IP address (altho it might have been correct on that date), Client Name – Dalvik/1.6.0 (Linux; Android 4.4.2; SPH-L710 Build/KOT49H), Requested File - /867.jpg
but the line below it reads:
Date – 11/6/2016 (11:28:34 AM), Status – Accepted, the same MAC address and the same IP address, Client Name – Samsung SPH-L710 stagefright/1.2 (Linux;Android 4.4.2), Requested File - /\Music\Artist\D\Dan Fogelberg\The Wild Places\ItemID=22295.mp3
I don't know why a Requested File would just be a .jpg. Nor do I understand why the MAC address and the IP address are the same on 2 lines, but the Client Names are different.
Earlier in the Server log it shows:
Date – 11/6/2016 (10:17:59 AM), Status – Accepted, the same MAC address and the same IP address, Client Name – MediaMonkeyAndroid/1.0 UpnP/1.0 Cling/2.0, Requested File – Root Directory
and then even earlier:
Date – 11/5/2016 (11:11:33 AM), Status – Accepted, the same MAC address and the same IP address, Client Name – Apache-HttpClient/UNAVAILABLE (java 1.5), Requested File - /\Music\Genre\Pop\[All]\ItemID=111936.m4a
At the top of the Media Sharing (MediaMonkey Server)/Server tab it shows:
Server Name: MediaMonkey Library
IP Address: Automatic Port: 63980
I am not fluent in configuring Ports and some of the more advanced suggestions in Russell's post.
Am I experiencing an issue with MediaMonkey or am I having trouble with Windows 10 itself??
