Artwork on Android 10 is a known issue if you didn't sync MMW to MMA directly. Android Media Scanner doesn't seem to pick it up.

Media Monkey version: (free version)
Update MM-Android Free Beta-Tester and start over again.

Update 3: Well, I replaced my phone, going from a Samsung Galaxy A8, o/s v9 to a Samsung Galaxy A51, o/s v10.

Before switching I completely removed MMA from my old phone, including deleting any files left behind after the uninstall. I then used Samsung Smart Switch to transfer everything else, moved my SD card to the new phone and then did a clean install of MMA, added the folder permissions and rescanned all media.

The result has been absolutely zero album art showing in MMA. The album art is shown in Samsung Music Player so the issue seems specific to MMA.

Please can you sort this out asap?

Update 2: I had a theory about why/when the multiple identical track listings occur.

My idea was that this happened after I unmounted the micro SD card and removed it to add more music and when the card was put back in my Samsung A8 phone the duplicates appeared.

So instead of unmounting the card I connected my phone to my laptop via a cable and copied some albums over that way. MMA then added the albums without any duplicate track listings although I still needed to sort the album art via the Automa Tag app.

So MMA app developers, maybe a few clues here?

Installed the app Automa Tag and after a fair bit of manual editing of tags and searching for Album Art, this fixed most of the album art issues within MMA.

As for the multiple duplicated track listings, I uninstalled MMA and then manually deleted all residual files related to MMA. One file that seems particularly important to remove is
storageinfo.xml, I found 3 versions of this across internal storage and the micro SD card.
I then reinstalled and re-authorised my media folders and let MMA do it's thing.

The result was about 95% successful, about 9 albums still had duplicate track listings and I've deleted those and will try copying them back to the sd card as the next step.

MMA multiple issues

Hi to all, along with missing artwork issues that have been reported by others, I also have problems with multiple duplicate track listings. Here is a full description, any help would be appreciated.

Set Up details:

Media Monkey version: (free version)

Phone: Samsung Galaxy A8, O/S up to date

Not synched, media copied from Win 10 PC to Micro SD card using Windows Explorer

This all began when I bought a lager capacity micro SD card and copied all my media from the old card to the new.

Multiple entries for the same track for the same album; tracks listed 2 or 3 times.

Same album shown multiple times but incomplete track listings; example: album shown with all tracks, same album shown with just track 1.

Missing artwork; some bands all artwork missing, others just some album covers missing.

Incorrect artwork; correct band, correct track but artwork is for live album when track is from studio album.

Tried and failed

Multiple rescans, uninstalled app, deleted all Media Monkey files left behind, reinstalled. Tried this twice, zero improvement, all issues remain.
