[*] Collections/Node Tree has no horizontal scrollbar like MM4. Need this.
I see in the Mantis conversation about this issue, that they don't see compelling need for this, and are waiting upon any more Tester response on this issue.
I would have agreed with you in MM4, but no so much in MM5.
In MM4 I had the MediaTree at minimal width, to reserve space for the main centre panel. I used the MediaTree horizontal scroll bar when navigating , even though it was a fiddly PIA.
In MM5 they have
made it easier to toggle the MediaTree panel on off, so I now have it at large width, and mostly toggled to hidden.
They haven't migrated the Ctrl+Alt+T behaviour to MM5, but you can easily restore this via the Hot Keys facility in Tools|Options.
The other thing about MM5 is that the new Contextual scroll|filter behaviours have reduced reliance on the MediaTree ... for me at least.
Also there is no horizontal scroll in the rhs panel, neither in MM4, nor MM5, so now LHS & RHS are consistent. ... A horizontal scroll control would be have been just as useful|annoying|redundant on the rhs when using the Play|Selected panel with the Advanced layout options, but nobody seems to have missed it there

[*] Songs --> right click --> Properties --> Artwork. Option to insert image from file system is missing. It used to be up front. Now it's buried under Lookup Image --> Browse. That's too many layers deep for a common function.
I agree, and it is annoying to have to wait for an Internet delay. I. also. have made this point previously.

[*] When you add an image to a song(s) by doing Lookup Image --> Browse, the window "add cover" appears. Double clicking on the image no longer brings it up in a different window like it did in MM4. This function is needed to inspect the art.
I can't see this as an issue. The "Select Image Files" panel, which you use for image selection, before the "Add Cover" panel, has already
given you a chance to view, in extra large icon mode, or open the image for inspection.
I am more interested when you go the other route ... ie. use the Internet Image Search, without pressing the disk Browse button ... you can right click to look at any Internet image at full size ... I would like to have left|right navigation buttons, so I could more easily preview what is on offer,
like this

[*] 'Selected' pane --> double click to view graphic enlarged --> Window that appears with Album Art has very small drag area. At first I thought the window could no longer be dragged. Turns out it was just hard to find what area was click+draggable.
I don't see this issue either ... A single click on the art in the Selected panel opens a window with full size art, and it has a large heading border, which is draggable (see green area
here)
My issue with full size art is why have we lost the right click view option at point #1 in the above image? I don't understand why that was dropped, nor the other image right click options there, which were also useful ... and I don't think the removal of the click option from the summary multi-column (ie. select whole album) was helpful either.
